The year 2020 thus far has felt like a disastrous roller coaster while simultaneously proving to be quite the year of transparency and #awakening. I feel overwhelmed and grateful all at the same time.
Especially in this time, it is so important that we remember to center our hearts and minds in a space of gratitude. #Gratitude is a #positive state of being that allows us to appreciate the wonderful things we have so that we are ready to accept the #wonderful things set to come our way. In this beginning-of-the-month reflection I want to draw attention to what I am #grateful for.
1. I am grateful for our evolved thought processes and conversations. We have had some difficult and uncomfortable conversations. We have checked ourselves, our loved ones, and even strangers on problematic biases, and we have educated one another on a variety of topics that continue to push for social, economic, and cultural #equity. I am grateful that we are still moving and pushing forward together.
2. I am grateful for the podcast I launched in February called The Digital Coffee Date. This summer, I began a limited series to address prevalent themes with a #spiritual context and I could not be more proud of the messages I’ve shared during this time. Summer Soul Sessions ends Sunday, August 16th so I encourage you to catch up on the latest episodes before the female-forward conversations start back up in Season 2.
3. I am grateful to the beautiful people who have remained close to me during this time of distance. You all know who you are and I am so grateful for you.
If you struggle with gratitude, start with the most basic things you’re #thankful for and I promise you, that list will grow. There are so many things to be grateful for. For me, one post could not do justice for all the ways God has #blessed me. So hold on to your #blessings in the most trying times and watch your perspective change your perception. ️
