Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Today is Purple Thursday. Today we wear purple to support the advocacy of domestic violence awareness. All year around people and organizations come together to provide resources and support for survivors of domestic violence and the impact of the work they do is truly profound.

As Audrey May so eloquently said to me the other day, “God did not give us a spirit to just survive but gave us a spirit to THRIVE.” It is important that we understand the power in speaking up but also the power in meaningful action when we come together to provide a sense of community and resourceful support.

Wear your purple, get creative with it, post about change, discuss what you can do, and provide meaningful action toward a better, stronger community.
